چکیده
We have successfully demonstrated an on-demand programmable hardware encryptor for optical networks enabled by the software-defined network (SDN) and tested its application in a quantum key distribution (QKD) use case. believe our proposed is unique way that it combines encryption algorithms with 100G Ethernet interface to provide high-transmission capacity flexible security. formed library consisting of AES-256, AES-192, AES-128, Camellia-256, XOR, no-encryption configurations. Our system has shown throughput 91.3 Gb/s AES variations 90.2 while theoretical throughputs were 160 Gb/s. In addition, goodputs all schemes measured as at least 90.4 For faster reconfiguration field-programmable gate array (FPGA), partial technology been used, times 2.6 s 2 decryption achieved. The FPGA configuration rate was 3.35 MB/s. When design QKD case 256-bit keys, highest achieved consumption 27 keys/s, which corresponded minimum granularity 474 MB per key. Thus, key, up 6912 b/s encryptor’s end-to-end latency using 300k standard Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) pings. schemes, 0.093 m mathvariant="normal">s ± 0.028 on average, but encryption/decryption processes did not meaningful impact microsecond precision.

SDN-enabled Tactical Ad Hoc Networks: Extending Programmable Control to the Edge
Modern tactical operations have complex communication and computing requirements, often involving different coalition teams, that cannot be supported by today’s mobile ad hoc networks. To this end, the emerging Software Defined Networking (SDN) paradigm has the potential to enable the redesign and successful deployment of these systems. In this paper, we propose a set of novel architecture desi...

Ongoing research in adaptive protocols and active networks has presumed that flexibility is offered exclusively through software systems, and the performance implications have generated considerable skepticism. The programmable Protocol Processing Pipeline (P4) exploits the dynamic reconfigurability of RAM based Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to provide both hardware performance and dyn...
متن کاملEnergy efficiency with QoS control in dynamic optical networks with SDN enabled integrated control plane
The paper presents energy efficient routing algorithms based on a novel integrated control plane platform. The centralized control plane structure enables the use of flexible heuristic algorithms for route selection in optical networks. Differentiated routing for various traffic types is used in our previous work. The work presented in this paper further optimizes the energy performance in the ...
